Nach längerer Zeit endlich wieder ein neues Mitglied der Brambus-Irish-Folk-Familie: PADDY-B. ist seit mehr als 30 Jahren sowohl als Solist wie auch als Gründer und Mitglied von Bands wie „Tintagel“, „Night Cap“ „Shamrock“ und derzeit „Celtic Express“ sowie als Session-Musiker aktiv und tourte während sieben Jahren mit den besten irischen Musikern durch die Welt. Endlich legt er ein Soloalbum vor, welches nicht die abgegriffensten Pub-Klassiker des Irish-Folks beinhaltet, sondern eine Auswahl an feinen Songs, die sowohl die fröhliche Seite der irischen Musikwelt wie auch die tiefgehenden Themen beinhalten. Nebst zumeist traditionellen Songs sind auch Kostproben seines eigenen Songschreibens zu hören.

Beim Album handelt es sich um ein Solowerk im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes: Paddy-B. hat das ganze Instrumentarium selber gespielt, er ist ein virtuoser Meister auf Gitarren, Bouzouki, Mandola, Banjo, den typischen irischen Tin-Whistles und hat eine gehaltvolle, passende Stimme für die vertrauten Klänge der irischen Songs.

After a longer time, here is finally our newest addition to our roster of excellent Irish-Folk-artists: PADDY-B. He is active since over 30 years as well as impressive solo performer as with Irish-folk-bands such as “Tintagel”, “Night Cap”, “Shamrock” and currently “Celtic Express”. Paddy-B. also is a well respected session musician and he toured for over seven years with some of the best Irish artists throughout most of the world. And here it is finally, his first solo album, which contains some of the finest Irish songs, avoiding those overused classics of the pub scene. The selection of songs – mostly traditional, but also some self penned titles – shows the wide area of Irish-music. From the funny side to the funeral, from laughter to tears, from jumping up to calming down.

The album is really a solo project by all means. Paddy-B. played all the instruments himself and confirms that he is an outstanding maestro on guitars, bouzouki, mandola, banjo and even the typical Irish tin-whistles – and he has the right voice to sing all these songs in a well matching way! Paddy-B. is mostly touring and has a strong followship through mid-Europe, but also in Portugal, where he is extensively touring in 2006, including regular appearances in the famous tv show „Portugal No Coracao“.
